The Challenge We're Addressing in Busoga

Busoga region remains one of the poorest regions in Uganda, with high school dropout rates among girls. Many girls fail to complete their education due to systemic barriers that Talk to Her Initiative is determined to dismantle.

Purpose

Goal & Objectives

Project Goal: To increase retention and completion rates of girl children in school in Busoga region, Uganda.

School Support Program

  • School fees support (partial scholarships)

Increased school attendance and reduced absenteeism among girls in supported schools.

Reduced dropout rates, with more girls completing full school terms and advancing their education.

Improved menstrual hygiene, confidence and dignity — freedom from shame for every girl.

Reduced early marriages and teenage pregnancies through community sensitization.
