The Challenge We're Addressing in Busoga

Busoga region remains one of the poorest regions in Uganda, with high school dropout rates among girls. Many girls fail to complete their education due to systemic barriers that Talk to Her Initiative is determined to dismantle.

See Our Solutions
Poverty — Lack of school fees, uniforms, and scholastic materials prevents girls from attending.
Menstrual Hygiene — Absence of sanitary pads and support causes girls to miss school every month.
Early Marriage & Pregnancy — Cultural pressures push girls out of school before completion.
Limited Parental Support — Negative cultural beliefs undermine the value of girl-child education.
Unsafe School Environments — Lack of private latrines and WASH facilities discourages girls from staying.
